Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met with the national team at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in the Hungarian capital Budapest, BTA reports.
The Head of State saw Boryana Kalein, Styliana Nikolova, Elvira Krasnobayeva and their coaches and congratulated them on their successes at the competition.
Part of the President’s delegation were former Minister of Youth and Sports Vessela Letcheva, who is a member of the IOC Commission and President of the Bulgarian Shooting Federation, and Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev. Letcheva wished the gymnasts success at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. With the high class you have demonstrated, you have shown that you are well prepared for the Games and are favourites for medals. I wish you only good luck, Lecheva said.
Radev and his accompanying delegation arrived at the Laszlo Papp Hall for the women’s individual finals to support the Bulgarian athletes. He awarded the gold medal to Boryana Kalein, who became the champion in the hoop final.
