The President of the Bulgarian Shooting Union and member of the IOC Commission for Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Vessela Letcheva put her signature on the Olympic wall in Lausanne. Letcheva was part of President Rumen Radev’s delegation that had a meeting with IOC President Thomas Bach yesterday.
The wall is located in the IOC’s new headquarters, which accommodates 500 staff who were previously spread across four locations in Lausanne. The Olympic House itself was designed on the basis of five key elements: symbolism, integration, flexibility, cooperation and sustainability.
On the wall are the autographs of famous Olympic champions and medallists who have left a lasting mark on world sport. Vesela Lecheva is a two-time Olympic silver medalist (Seoul 1988 and Barcelona 1992), five-time world champion and Shooter of the Century.
Vessela Letcheva also received a special certificate from President Thomas Bach for her contribution to the Olympic Movement.

The delegation led by President Rumen Radev participated in a meeting with the IOC President. The focus of the talks was the possibility for Bulgaria to host the Youth Olympic Winter Games. During the meeting, the IOC leadership expressed readiness to assist in the preparation of a roadmap for Bulgaria’s bid so that our country meets the standards for hosting a major sporting competition. Thomas Bach referred to the proximity of the capital to the mountains, which would give an advantage in the organization of the event.
