The President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) and the Bulgarian Shooting Union (BSU), Vessela Letcheva, will take part in a round table in Frankfurt dedicated to the future of shooting sports. It is organized by the European Shooting Confederation (ESC) and is described by the organizers as strategic for the future of the sport.
Leading representatives of shooting federations in Europe will participate in the meeting in Frankfurt. The discussion will focus on the future of shooting—from sporting results to the creation of sustainable policies that guarantee popularity and media interest. Participants will share ideas on good management practices, facility development, and funding opportunities.
The main idea that participants are presenting to European shooting leaders is to create a Council of Advisors, which will include more experts from the federations, in order to prepare professional decisions.
During the meetings in Frankfurt, Vessela Letcheva will also provide information on the preparations for Bulgaria’s hosting of the European Championships in February 2026 in Burgas, which will bring together over 700 young shooters from the Old Continent.
