The President of the Bulgarian Shooting Union and member of the IOC committee Vessela Letcheva will lead the delegation of our team during the Olympic qualification in Rio de Janeiro, which starts on April 11th. So far, Bulgaria has two Olympic visas for Paris in shooting – Antoaneta Boneva and Kiril Kirov.
“The competitors had a good preparation and I hope we can get more quotas. At the European Championship they failed to achieve it, but hopefully in Rio they have more concentration, and of course luck. Real opportunities to do so have Miroslava Mincheva, Samuil Donkov, Anton Rizov”, said Letcheva.
In Brazil, Vessela Letcheva will also hold a series of meetings with representatives of the world federation and discuss opportunities for staff exchange, as well as joint camps. In May, the President of BSU will also welcomes a delegation from the European headquarters that evaluates the candidates for hosting Euro 2026 in shooting.
