The President of the Bulgarian Shooting Union and member of the Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Committee of the IOC Vessela Letcheva held a meeting with students in Pleven. The event was part of the initiative at Ivan Vazov Secondary School under the motto “The Youth Voice of Pleven” and aimed to promote sport, music and art as a way to tackle aggression and addictions.
Letcheva gave a motivational speech to young people about the benefits of sport for health and personal development.

“Sport gives many chances. It gives resilience, educates, disciplines. Sport gives us the opportunity to experience most strongly the emotions of victory, but also the pain of loss. There is no other area in life where when you lose, you get up in the morning and feel even more motivated to keep going. Sport always gives you a second chance to go on and win. You will have a string of difficulties and challenges in your path… Never give up! Strive, aim high, follow your dreams, work hard and improve!”, Vesela Lecheva addressed the youngsters. And reminded them: “Sport is the most powerful weapon against all the addictions that surround us.”

In the school hall “Europe” youths also met with Jelena Filipovic-Stojanov, acting ambassador of Montenegro in Bulgaria. Dimitar Mitev, the director of Ivan Vazov Secondary School, presented the guests with the students’ drawings. After the end of the motivating meeting many photos and autographs followed.
