Olympic medalists Vessela Letcheva and Ivet Goranova had a successful meeting with young athletes

More than 80 children, coaches and parents were part of the meeting of Vessela Letcheva and Ivet Goranova in Razlog, where the two great Bulgarian champions gave a motivational lecture.

Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020 Goranova is holding a camp with karate athletes from all over the country and Letcheva, who is a member of the IOC Commission, President of the Shooting Federation and former Minister of Youth and Sports, participated as a special guest.

“Vessela Letcheva helps shooting, but also many other sports. But most importantly, she has had an impressive career as a competitor, making her an indispensable speaker in our camp,” said Yvette Goranova.

“It is valuable for you that you train with the best – Olympic champion Ivet Goranova. She will not only show you important techniques specific to your sport, but will also set an example for you on how to strive to be better every day. The most important thing in both life and sport is consistency. Sports will also teach you how to accept loss, a quality that is absent in many people today. But it will also teach you how to move on after defeats,” Letcheva told the young athletes. The lecture lasted for more than an hour with many questions and afterwards the children received autograph cards.

The initiative is part of Vesela Lecheva’s meetings with talents in the country. This time she was together with Ivet Goranova, who, besides being an Olympic champion, is one of the most positive athletes in Bulgarian sport. A few days before the Olympic Games in Paris, the two medalists shared interesting memories of the biggest sports forum.
