    Bulgaria welcomed the world volleyball champions, Vessela Letcheva encouraged them to dream of the Olympic Games

    The Bulgarian women’s volleyball team, which won the world championship for girls under 19, was welcomed triumphantly in Sofia.

    The gold medalists landed in Sofia and headed to the Hristo Botev Hall. There they were met by the president of the federation, Lyubomir Ganev, the newly elected president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Vessela Letcheva, and the chair of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova, according to bTV.

    Each of the heroes received an award to the backdrop of Stefka Sabotinova’s “The Mountain is Coming.”

    The stage was graced by Dimana Ivanova, Kalina Veneva, Denitsa Angelova, Darina Naneva, Viktoria Ninova, Nikol Okor, Simona Ivanova, Stefani Dyankova, Vara Parapunova, Edna Todorova, Aleksandra Kitipova, and Elizaveta Sarieva, who led us to the world summit.

    There were also awards for coach Atanas Petrov, his assistant Martin Zhivkov, statistician Lazar Lazarov, and team manager Evgeni Ivanov.

    “I am very proud to be in front of these girls who have written their names in gold letters in Bulgarian volleyball. Thanks to them, thousands of children will become passionate about volleyball. Everyone saw that their efforts are worth it for moments like this triumph. Keep doing what you are doing and give it your all. The future is ahead of you,” said Lyubomir Ganev.

    “This is a historic success for Bulgaria! You have shown that you are worthy champions! I am sure that your dream is to reach the Olympic summit. I wish you that with all my heart! We are ready to support Bulgaria’s talent. Keep going and be happy,” said Vessela Letcheva.

    “On behalf of the team, I want to thank everyone here for honoring us. Thank you,” said team captain Victoria Ninova.
