Vessela Letcheva awarded the winners in the category “Sport” in “Night of the Stars”

Vessela Letcheva awarded the winners in the category “Sport” in the 14th edition of the show “Night of the Stars”, which was held in front of full stands in the “Arena 8888”.

The nominees were Valentina Georgieva (gymnastics), Radina Velichkova (athletics) and Nikola Tsolov (Formula 3), and two-time European vice-champion and fifth at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 Georgieva won the first place. She did not attend the ceremony because she is competing at the European Gymnastics Championships in Leipzig. On her behalf the award was received by the legend Yordan Yovchev.

“Valentina Georgieva is an example not only of an athlete with great sporting achievements but also of one with a very strong spirit. This stage is proof that Bulgaria has many talents to be truly proud of,” said BOC President Vessela Letcheva.

She also admired the efforts of Encho Keryazov, who for another year managed to fill the hall and award talented children in the fields of art, education, sports.

When I met Encho Keryazov a few years ago, he told me that he was planning his next big show to be in Monte Carlo. I was impressed by his vast dreams, which today’s full house shows are entirely achievable. “A Night of Stars is a celebration of talent, hope, and meaning,” said Letcheva.

The “Brave Heart” award, which is presented by the Encho Keryazov Foundation every year, was won by world and European 100m champion for athletes with intellectual disabilities Alexander Asenov.
