The President of the BOK and member of the Board of Trustees of Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” Vessela Letcheva attended the official presentation of the first student guard unit.
At an official ceremony they received their battle flag. The formation is at Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”, and with them in front of the cathedral gathered the student squads from Burgas, Aytos and Pomorie.
Vessela Letcheva made a personal donation for the establishment of the Guard.
The Burgas clergy, led by Metropolitan Arseniy of Sliven, consecrated the flag.
“It is a symbol of statehood. And those who have bequeathed us to keep the symbols of our nation, one of which is the Guard flag, oblige us to be devoted patriots, faithful children of Mother Bulgaria,” His Eminence said.
“Our students show that they are the first successors of the best qualities of the Bulgarian people, who never allowed to be wiped out, never betrayed their faith and never allowed to be captured battle flags!”, said the Rector Prof. Dr. Hristo Bozov.
