Bulgaria will participate with 34 athletes and 12 coaches at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje (FYROM), which will take place from July 20 to 26.
The country will have representatives in the following sports: badminton, gymnastics, judo, athletics, swimming, shooting, taekwondo, and table tennis. Only the gymnastics competitions will be held in the Croatian city of Osijek.
In Skopje, the Bulgarian delegation will be led by BOC President Vessela Letcheva and Secretary General Danail Dimov. Members of the BOC Executive Committee Volodya Zlatev, Rumen Stoilov, Slavi Binev, and Lyubomir Ganev will also attend the European Youth Olympic Festival.
At the end of next week, representatives from 49 European countries will gather in Skopje and Osijek to compete in 15 sports over the course of a week.
The European Youth Olympic Festival is a leading event in the European Olympic Committee’s calendar for athletes aged between 14 and 18.
