Vessela Letcheva made a donation to the Sports School “Georgi Zhivkov” in Veliko Tarnovo at the graduation of the Class of 2025. The funds were raised in the year in which she celebrated her jubilee. They will be spent on sports equipment.
Vessela Letcheva, who was elected president of the BOC and is a two-time Olympic medalist, five-time world and eight-time European shooting champion, studied at the sports school in the city. The ceremony was also attended by the legendary coach and her father Nikolay Letchev, who was also a teacher at the sports school of Veliko Tarnovo. The ceremony was honored by the mayor of the town Eng. Daniel Panov.

Sport is an important part of the development of all young people and the school’s graduates have made a choice to follow this path. Your lives will not just be a red trail you tread today, but you have gained the strength and knowledge to be able to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
The 17th of May is a patronal holiday as well as the Day of Bulgarian Sport. Therefore, I would like to congratulate not only the graduates of Georgi Zhivkov School, but also all Bulgarian athletes. In 2024, we sent a very successful year. This year also started with achievements that inspire,” Vessela Letcheva told the graduates.
