    EMOF in Skopje was opened, the leadership of the BOC met with the President of the European Olympic Committee

    The European Youth Olympic Festival opened last night in Skopje. The flag bearers for the Bulgarian delegation were athlete Iva Deliverska and judoka Hristo Dimitrov. Only the participants and officials were present in the 6,000-seat Yane Sandanski Hall. At the same time, in the Croatian city of Osijek, where the gymnastics competitions will be held, there was a more modest ceremony, with Nasko Mikov as the flag bearer.

    The ceremony in the Republic of North Macedonia began with an artistic performance by four drummers from the Skopje Drum Orchestra and vocalist and harpist Sara Meis, who mixed traditional sounds with modern musical sounds. This was followed by the traditional parade of nations.

    In his speech, Spyros Capralos, President of the European Olympic Committees, emphasized the importance of EYOF as a catalyst for the development of youth sport and cultural ties, and the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska, declared the event open.

    Before the opening, the Bulgarian official delegation – BOC President Vessela Letcheva, as well as Executive Bureau members Slavi Binev, Lyubomir Ganev, and Volodya Zlatev, and Secretary General Daniel Dimov met with European Olympic Committees President Spyros Capralos.

    They also met with the President of the Organizing Committee and President of the Olympic Committee of the Republic of North Macedonia, Daniel Dimevski.
