Vessela Letcheva met with Boryana Kaleyn and Maria Grozdeva, who will represent the Bulgarian Olympic Committee in London

The President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Vessela Letcheva, met with Boryana Kaleyn and Maria Grozdeva, who will represent our country at the 8th European Forum and Assembly of Athletes in London. The Bulgarian nominee for the European Olympic Committee Athletes’ Commission is Boryana Kaleyn, silver medalist in artistic gymnastics at Paris 2024. She will be accompanied by five-time Olympic medalist in shooting Maria Grozdeva, who is also chair of the Athletes’ Commission at the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.

The conference program begins on November 11 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in London. The following day, the athletes will participate in discussions related to the Olympic Solidarity program, the prevention of competition manipulation, the programs of the World Anti-Doping Agency, lectures on the use of social networks, and others, and in the evening they will be special guests at London City Hall. On November 13, the members of the Athletes’ Commission will be elected. There are 18 candidates for 6 vacant seats, so Kaleyn will have serious competition.

“I believe you will win the sympathy of the other countries, just as Malena Zamfirova did in Malta. Maria Grozdeva has experience, knows the athletes, and you will be a strong team,” said Vessela Letcheva.

Boryana Kaleyn will give a presentation in London not only on her sporting career, but also on her mission outside of professional sport.

“This is an important experience for me and I hope we will represent Bulgaria and the BOC at a high level,” said Boryana Kaleyn.
