The President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Vessela Letcheva, was a guest at the finals of the national shooting championship (trap and skeet), which took place at the Via Sport complex in Gorni Dabnik over the weekend. Lecheva toured the renovated complex together with the President of the Bulgarian Shooting Federation, Ilia Kirilov.
“The federation is creating excellent conditions for the development of this attractive sport. I familiarized myself with the plans for the base, which will become an even more attractive center. It will also have field hockey pitches, tennis courts, paddle tennis courts, and a shooting range,” commented Vessela Letcheva.
The Bulgarian Shooting Federation, which administers the Olympic disciplines of trap and skeet shooting, is making serious efforts to develop young athletes. During the conversation with Lechova, the new program was presented, which includes specialists from Italy who will advise our young shooters. The goal is to participate in the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
