    Bulgarian shooters with a second medal from the European Championships in Osijek

    Lydia Nencheva and Stoyan Pushkov won the second bronze medal for Bulgaria at the European Shooting Championships in Osijek, Croatia.

    Nencheva and Pushkov finished third in the 25m rapid fire pistol duets discipline. The Bulgarians scored fourth in the qualification with a total of 336 points and in the bronze medal dispute they beat Slovenia 16-8.

    Two Ukrainian pairs qualified for the final, with the second team of Yulia Korostilova and Maxim Khorodinets beating the first team of Ukraine Anastasia Nimets and Volodymyr Pasternak 16-4.

    Yesterday, Antoaneta Kostadinova, Miroslava Mincheva and Lidiya Nencheva won the first bronze medal of the championships in the women’s 25m pistol trio discipline after a 17:13 victory against Ukraine.

    The leader of the Bulgarian delegation is Vessela Lecheva, President of Bulgarian Shooting Union.

    The European Championships is the last major forum in sport shooting where direct quotas for this summer’s Olympics will be awarded. So far, Antoaneta Kostadinova and Kiril Kirov have quotas for the Games in Paris.
