Anton Rizov and Tanya Rizova won the rifle titles at the Bulgarian Championship, which is held at the Geo Milev complex in Sofia.
In the 50m rifle, Rizov of Club Trakia triumphed with a new state record of 455.9 points. The previous best was again his – 445.8 points from last year. Second was Georgi Kanev (Trakia) with 435.9 points, and third was Dobrin Burov (Etar 100) with 418.4.
In the women’s 50m rifle, Tania Rizova (Trakia) took the gold with 576 points, followed by Petya Lukanova (AP Sport) with 569 and Thea Dimitrova (Sniper) with 556 points.
The 25m pistol champion was Stoyan Pushkov (AP Sport). The silver medal went to Doncho Donchev (Nessebar) and the bronze was won by Ivan Ivanov.
Nearly 200 competitors from all clubs are taking part in the State Small Arms Championship, which will last until July 3. The championships are for juniors, men and women
